Series 1 has the choice of two back options, mounted on a flexible frame, that intuitively sculpts to the user’s every movement throughout the day.

LiveBack® technology, the result of an extensive four year research study into how the back and spine behave when people sit, uses a system of flexible membranes, sprung lumbar support and 3D woven fabric to sculpt to and support the spine.
Series 1 Air.
At first glance the Air LiveBack® appears as an unassuming geometric pattern. Unsurprisingly this Steelcase technology, taking lead from the original LiveBack, has been engineered to flex in multiple dimensions to encourage healthy movement and support posture changes.
